Our illustrative concept for Kelenföld Railway Station in Budapest demonstrates how contemporary modular architecture can integrate into existing transport environments — even through a consciously distinct architectural identity. To avoid overdesigning the idea, we intentionally explored the direction through a highly simplified conceptual approach, focusing primarily on the relationship between the historic station environment and a possible contemporary intervention.

The concept highlights how old and new can coexist while reinforcing each other’s value, and how circular construction technologies may support the sustainable regeneration of railway environments and brownfield urban areas alike.
